The Drafter /
Designer will be responsible for
engineering work related to researching,
designing and drafting compressor
packages, mechanical/electrical
components, tools, and equipment. These
drawings will be completed utilizing
Autodesk Inventor 11.
This position will support the
engineering group for product
development and product improvement.
Job
responsibilities include but are not
limited to:
Supporting
new projects (new products and product
improvements)

Utilize 3D modeling CAD system to
develop layouts, drawings, and designs
that meet specifications
-
Review engineering drawings and
analyze design packages
-
Complete all work according to
standard engineering principles and
practices
-
Perform research to develop or
solve specific design problems
-
Design and build prototype
components and/or packages
-
Ensure all new and current
designs are at the highest quality as
well as cost effective for our industry
Production support
-
Perform engineering work related
to planning, devising, or adapting
methods to improve manufacturing
production
-
Examine equipment, processes,
operations, and assembly practices to
determine time or quality revisions and
suggest improvements
-
Review and monitor operations
standards and continually improve
-
Assist operations to ensure
efficient production while developing
processes to ensure quality and cost
effectiveness
-
Troubleshoot production issues
and take corrective actions
Producing quality
results for the company
-
Ensure that engineering projects
are resolved accurately and in a timely
manner
-
Document and communicate projects
scopes, timelines, and milestones to the
management team
-
Exceed customer expectations
(both internally and externally)
Required
Experience
The ideal candidate
will exhibit the following:

Ability to comprehend
instructions and information

Knowledge of air compressors and
generators
-
Knowledge and understanding of
procedures
-
Strong mechanical and technical
aptitude
-
Strong computer skills (including
CAD operation – Autodesk Inventor 11 a
Plus)

Ability to effectively
trouble-shoot issues and correct via
corrective action plans
-
Ability to effectively
communicate orally and in writing
-
Ability to efficiently and
effectively manage engineering projects
while detailing through appropriate
documentation
Required
Education
Minimum 2 year
engineering degree or equivalent
Minimum 1-2 years
experience in equivalent industry
