APICS International

Headquarters - Where Everything Happens

APICS Foundation

APICS was founded as the American Production and Inventory Control Society. APICS has since expanded its focus to include a full range of programs and materials on individual and organizational education, standards of excellence, and integrated resource management. To reflect this new direction, we are now known as APICS - The Educational Society for Resource Management.

APICS - The Educational Society for Resource Management is a not-for-profit international educational organization respected throughout the world for its education and professional certification programs. With more than 65,000 members in 20,000 companies worldwide, APICS is dedicated to using education to "help business run better".

Since its inception in 1957, APICS members have been at the forefront of manufacturing management innovations such as MRP, ERP, SCM, CRM, APS and e-business applications.

Mission

APICS is the global leader and premier provider of information and services in production and inventory management and related areas to enable members, enterprises, and individuals to add value to their business performance.

APICS Focus and Identity
APICS will focus on its core competency of production and inventory management, building on this core to develop related businesses as appropriate. APICS will eliminate the tag line "the educational society for resource management," and will develop new tag lines based on further consideration of how best to promote the APICS brand.

Strategic Priority 1: APICS products and services will be truly market and customer driven.

Strategic Priority 2: APICS will have a rapid and agile product development process that results in creating and refining high quality products that are based on market and customer needs.

Strategic Priority 3: APICS membership offerings will be redefined based on voice of the customer research to serve diverse needs and target potential customers worldwide.

Strategic Priority 4: APICS will enhance delivery channels to facilitate a customer-driven approach to products and services.

Strategic Priority 5: APICS will leverage the APICS brand and elevate the image, value, and recognition of APICS as the production and inventory management solutions provider worldwide.

Strategic Priority 6: APICS will expand its presence outside of North America.

Strategic Priority 7: APICS will be a dynamic organization with governance systems and processes in place to achieve its goals and move forward with its plan.
